Vision
Love and appreciation for all people. To embrace and
cherish diversity.
Mission
To share the good news that God has reconciled all mankind
to Himself through Christ and that we can all get along.
Core Values
- God has given us the ministry and gospel of reconciliation
(2 Corinthians 5:18-19).
- God made from one blood every nation of men to dwell
on all the face of the earth (Acts 17:26).
- God says to "preach good news to the poor,
proclaim freedom for the prisoners, recover sight for
the blind and to release the oppressed" (Luke
4:18).
Goals of the Ministry
- Model and preach the gospel of reconciliation and
address all areas where walls, barriers and divisions
exist, and assist in removing them.
- Increase awareness and sensitivity in areas of broken
relationships.
- Help strengthen relationships among individuals
of all people groups.
- Develop greater appreciation for ethnic, gender
and cultural diversity.
- Help prepare others to avoid polarization in times
of conflict and emotional upset.
- Enlist the services of qualified leaders in the
area of race relations.
- Recommend helpful resources on the subject of reconciliation.
- Measure progress through effective feedback.
Ends/Results
- Greater awareness of race relations.
- Knowledge of, and sensitivity to conflict and broken
relationships that exist among people everywhere.
- Better understanding of how to resolve racial conflict
and other broken relationships that separate people.
- Better understanding of how to celebrate one's own
heritage without negatively impacting others.
- A greater appreciation of what it means to be one
in Christ by living out these concepts.
Faith Goals
- We ask God to help us all to love one another as
Jesus loves us.
- We ask God to raise up reconciliation leaders who
can help advance the ministry.
- We ask God to lead us to be intentional and active
in reaching out to all ethnic groups within and beyond
the church.
- We ask God to soften the hearts of those we reach
so that they will be open to our sharing of this valuable
message of reconciliation.
